Star Training & Assessing is Worksafe accredited to deliver the LO Forklift Licence, also known as the Order Picker or Stock Picker Forklift Licence in VIC. An LO Forklift Licence will allow you to operate an LO (8C high reach) type forklift; in compliance with Australian Government high-risk work guidelines and regulations.
Course content includes pre-operational inspection, familiarisation of the order picker, handling characteristics, manoeuvring of the order picker, loading and unloading, charge & recharge, knowledge assessment, calculations assessment, practical assessment.
Warehousing operatives looking to expand their skills should consider an Order Picker Licence.
Knowledge Assessment – Includes a written and mathematical assessment. Study guides will be sent to participants prior to the course.
Practical Assessment Hazard identification and hazard prevention, conduct pre-operational checks (visual order picker inspection), conduct post- start checks and the safe operation of the order picker, handling loads, moving loads from different locations and heights, shutting down and securing the order picker.
Participants must be a minimum of 18 years of age, documentary evidence and proof of age is required before course commencement.
Participants must have sufficient knowledge of the English language and basic numeracy skills to complete the written and mathematical assessment.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will be issued with a ‘Statement of Attainment’ and a forklift ‘Notice of Assessment’ (L2 form) which you then need to take to an Australia Post outlet along with a $60 payment, 100 points of ID (Australian ID) and passport photo. The five year licence will then be sent by WorkSafe Victoria, which you should receive within approximately 3 weeks of lodgement.
