A confined space is defined as ‘an enclosed or partially enclosed space which is not intended or designed primarily as a workplace’ it may have a restricted entry and exit, and/or an atmosphere which contains potentially harmful levels of a contaminant, unsafe levels of oxygen or may cause engulfment.
This nationally recognised unit covers entering and working in confined spaces in resources and infrastructure industries. It includes planning and preparing for entry of confined spaces, working in confined spaces, exiting confined spaces and cleaning up.
After successfully completing both assessments, a statement of attainment and card will be issued.
There are no formal pre-requisites, however participants must have basic English skills.
Face to face delivery. To obtain accreditation in this course a practical and written assessment will be given to participants.
