Star Training & Assessing has been inundated by telephone calls from students who are being misinformed, not only by the media, but online social networks.
Star Training & Assessing encourages all students to be informed by the Chief Medical Officer and not by any other form of information.
Are RTOs closing down? The answer is NO.
A message from the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment –
Attendance at Classes
Classes should continue as usual, unless the Department of Health or Chief Medical Officers advises otherwise.
Our Regulator ASQA explains –
As VET programs are based on and contribute to nationally-recognised qualifications, it is not possible for Victoria to adopt a unilateral approach to how these challenges might be managed in the event of extended closures of schools (and possibly TAFEs).
ASQA further informs that they are working with other jurisdictions on this.
