Star Training & Assessing has been inundated by telephone calls from students who are being misinformed, not only by the media, but online social networks.

Star Training & Assessing encourages all students to be informed by the Chief Medical Officer and not by any other form of information.

Are RTOs closing down? The answer is NO.

A message from the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment –

Attendance at Classes

Classes should continue as usual, unless the Department of Health or Chief Medical Officers advises otherwise.

Our Regulator ASQA explains –

As VET programs are based on and contribute to nationally-recognised qualifications, it is not possible for Victoria to adopt a unilateral approach to how these challenges might be managed in the event of extended closures of schools (and possibly TAFEs).

ASQA further informs that they are working with other jurisdictions on this.

How Star Training is dealing with Corona Virus?

In view of the current Corona Virus COVID-19 situation, Star Training & Assessing is taking the necessary steps to safeguard its employees, students and visitors. Although this virus does not affect everyone equally, we understand your concerns and have taken immediate action on this.

Our Company has been for quite some time listening and following the advice given by our Medical Officer. In order to prevent the spread of the Virus, Star Training and Assessing, has already began sanitising all classrooms and areas where students are most likely to be.

Classes will be capped at 6-12 participants and social distancing will be maintained by upholding at least 1.5m distance between students and staff.

Prior to course commencements, classrooms have been disinfected/sanitized before students arrive and at the end of each course in preparation for the following day.

We encourage All students to wash their hands with water and soap (minimum of 20 seconds) provided, before commencing the class and at the end of their day before they go home.

We also encourage students to bring their own pens. If you are still concerned you can also bring gloves (any type). Hi-Vis vests will not be available at this stage.
