Face to face delivery. The course involves a theory and practical assessment.
To obtain this accreditation students must demonstrate knowledge and use of three pieces of small plant and equipment and one power source.
There are no prerequisites, however participants must be able to converse and comprehend basic English.

It is crucial to ensure plant and equipment operators are deemed competent and adequately trained in the use of all plant and equipment provided on the job. There are multiple pieces of plant and equipment that do not have an individual unit of competency attached to them but may fall under the small plant and equipment category.
