CPPFES2005A- Demonstrate first attack firefighting equipment

This nationally recognised unit of competency is designed to train and equip participants to be competent in the fighting of fires within their work environment.

The course is suitable for anyone who may need to use various firefighting equipment. It covers what equipment is most suitable to put out each type of fire and how to correctly use it. Upon completion, applicants will understand the theory and practical application of using Fire Extinguishers, Fire Hoses and Fire Blankets.

Course Outline:

• Understanding of relevant state fire safety regulations
• Understanding of the theory of fire, classes of fire and fire extinguishing techniques
• Use of Fire Extinguishers, Fire Blankets and Fire Hose reels.
• Experience in extinguishing fires with fire equipment
• Pre – Requisites:
• There are no formal pre-requisites, but participants must have basic English skills

Delivery Methods:

Face to face delivery. To obtain accreditation in this course a practical and written assessment will be given to participants.

Outcome:

After successfully completing both assessments a statement of attainment will be issued

On-site at your workplace, or alternatively at a suitable training venue
