VOC – VERIFICATION OF COMPETENCY 1-2 hrs $150 + GST (per machine)

Location

At an organised training facility in Bairnsdale.

Each class of VOC will take approximately 1-2 hours to complete. VOCs are generally conducted without any training or preparation as it is considered current licenced or ticketed employees and contractors have the required knowledge and skill to complete the VOC
The assessment includes knowledge testing and above all demonstration of skills i.e. observing the candidate operating mobile plant in the field.
Participants must provide their relevant licence/card or Statement of Attainment prior to VOCs being conducted.

Upon successful completion of this course, all participants receive an electronic copy of a Verification of Competency Certificate.

Verification of Competency

Star Training and Assessing undertakes Verification of Competency (VOC) for the operators of mobile plant who hold a certificate of competency, or relevant qualification.

VOC is a method of assessment that assists employers to meet Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements and assures staff are competent to operate equipment or perform a task. VOC’s also ensure that the original decision of competence was valid and reliable.

Verification of Competency requirements are site and/or company specific. Essentially, if a work-site requests an individual to hold a current VOC for a specific piece of plant, that individual needs to comply in order to work on that site or for that company.
